Hello Everyone,
Brr!! To get my students in the mood for snowy fun over our upcoming Winter Break, we’re imagining what snowmet do at night with Caralyn Buehner‘s Snowmen at Night. I love her simple text and Mark Buehner‘s illustrations for these two grades. It’s fun for them to think about what snowmen might do.
After we share ideas, we write the sentence “My snowmen at night are ____.” for grade 1, while kindergarteners draw pictures of what their snowmen do with the word “snowman” on their papers to trace.
Enthusiastically,
Ms. Tyler
PS. Do you remember what “dally” means from last month? It was used by the Pilgrims and others (some even today) to mean “waste time.” Enjoy a bit of dallying over Break.
